Moving

A Life A New

Dedicated to my loving and supportive husband.

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

Day 1: I moved to Asia!

They say the average American moves 15 times throughout their lifetime. Well, I’m not an American and I can’t say that I’d want to move that many times either. However, I wouldn’t mind traveling and visiting that much more countries.

By the time this is posted and published, I will have officially moved to Myanmar in the city of Yangon formerly known as Rangoon (which used to be the country’s capital until 2006). Most of my family and immediate friends and colleagues in Colorado were made aware of this move a while ago, but I really wanted to take this opportunity of change and movement to get back into blogging and document this new phase of life.

To gain some perspective as to where I am. Myanmar was also called Burma.
Right now my life is literally a series of journeys: from learning and living in a new culture, re-learning the ways of WordPress, YouTube and all the other good stuff as it relates to social media, and learning to adjust to life further a part from my husband.
Everything is new, confusing, exciting, exhausting.
There were some concerns from others about my safety, but I assure, I’m fine and I wouldn’t have chosen this place if I felt it would be unsafe for me to be here.
While I enjoy writing as my creative outlet, I know that lots of people will want to see video, so I will also have YouTube channel and some of my blog posts will in fact be vlogs.
As this post is being shared, I’ve literally only been here one night. This journey started way before today, so I will share some of the exciting day to day experiences, and I will also share what has led up to this moment.
Stay tuned for lots more!!
Please leave questions in the comments of things you wanna know about that I can address in one of my upcoming videos.

  3. Casha, I was so hoping we could welcome you back to Hornet Nation or even the Topeka School District. I am sorry that didn’t happen, but I know you will be awesome in this new role. Please stay in touch and let us know if you need anything. Hugs.
